SMS Privacy Policy

This SMS Privacy Policy explains how Snappy Bin Operations LLC collects, uses, stores, and protects information collected through our SMS messaging program.
What Information We Collect via SMS
When you opt in to receive SMS messages from us, we collect:
- Your mobile phone number
- Your name and contact information (from your rental booking)
- The date, time, and type of consent you provided (transactional and/or promotional)
- Metadata about SMS messages, including delivery status, read status, and timestamps
How We Use SMS Information
We send two categories of SMS messages, and we only send the categories you have separately opted in to receive:
- Transactional messages — appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling and rescheduling updates, and customer support related to your rental.
- Promotional messages — occasional special offers, discounts, and seasonal promotions related to dumpster rentals, sent only to customers who have separately opted in to marketing messages.
SMS Opt-In Data — No Sharing
No mobile information, phone numbers, or SMS opt-in consent will be shared with, sold, rented, or leased to any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. While we use third-party advertising platforms (such as Meta, Google, and LinkedIn) for website analytics and advertising, SMS opt-in data and consent are expressly excluded and are never shared with these or any other third parties.
Who Has Access to Your SMS Data
Your SMS information is processed by service providers acting on our behalf, who may not use it for their own marketing:
- GoHighLevel: Our SMS platform provider that stores and facilitates message delivery (subject to their privacy policy)
- Wireless Carriers: AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and other carriers transmit messages and may log metadata
- Snappy Bin Staff: Authorized employees who use the CRM to send and monitor messages
We require all staff with access to SMS data to maintain strict confidentiality and use the data only for legitimate business purposes.
Data Retention
We retain SMS message logs and associated metadata for twelve (12) months from the date of the last message exchange. After 12 months, SMS message records are deleted from our systems. Your opt-in status is retained until you opt out by texting "STOP."
Opt-In and Consent
You provide consent through separate, explicit checkboxes on our booking and contact forms — one for transactional messages and one for promotional messages. Each checkbox is optional and unchecked by default, and consent is not a condition of booking or receiving services. Promotional messages are sent only with your prior express written consent (the separate promotional checkbox). Your opt-in is documented and retained for compliance purposes.
Opt-Out and Unsubscribe
You may stop receiving SMS messages from us at any time by texting "STOP" to the number that sent you a message. You will receive a confirmation message. After confirmation, you will no longer receive SMS messages unless you re-opt-in.
Message Frequency and Rates
Transactional message frequency depends on your rental schedule. Promotional messages are occasional. Message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier and plan. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
TCPA Compliance
Our SMS program complies with the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) and CTIA messaging guidelines. We send transactional messages only to customers who have opted in, and we send promotional messages only to customers who have provided prior express written consent through a separate opt-in. We honor all opt-out requests and maintain detailed records of all consents.
Data Security
SMS information is stored securely in GoHighLevel and protected by encryption and access controls. Only authorized Snappy Bin staff can access SMS data. We implement reasonable security measures to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request access to SMS data we hold about you
- Request deletion of your SMS data (subject to legal retention requirements)
- Opt out of SMS messages at any time by texting "STOP"
